Kick-off your jackpot season at the Sierra Winter Classic, January 16-17, 2027! The 37th annual Sierra Winter Classic Beef Show is headed to the Porterville Fairgrounds. In 1989 a small group of Cattle Breeders, 4-H Leaders and Parents got together and wanted to provide an opportunity for young Beef Exhibitors to showcase their projects before their final show of the season.
The show is now host to over 300 head of cattle, 200 exhibitors and their family members from throughout the State of California and beyond, held every year over the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Observance weekend. It is a project of the Porterville Jr. Fair Board (4-H & FFA members ages 14-19).
Entrance to the show is on the north side of the Fairgrounds. Enter at Road 224 (on the east side of the grounds) and follow the signs. Public is welcome, no admission fee. Limited camping spaces with electricity available.

Beef, Lamb, Swine & Goat Livestock Show at the Porterville Fair Grounds on November 21, 2026.
The California Collegiate Livestock Show was created in March 2012 by Fair staff with the assistance of the late Ralph Loya of Reedley College. The “CCLS” provides an opportunity for college students to participate in an agricultural program beyond their high school years and an introduction for students that have never participated in ag classes before. Hands-on experience is gained through classroom studies, caring for and showing livestock.

**ALL PARTICIPATING SCHOOLS MUST HELP BREAK DOWN PENS AND PANELS AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE SHOW.
